Kumari Ashwini Patil

Dr Nanda Patil’s daughter Ashwini Patil (b. 1992) is born and brought up in Dharwad. She had her basic education in Kendriya Vidyalaya in Dharwad, her plus-2 in DPS in Mumbai (MS) and her B.Tech in VIT, Vellore, Tamil Nadu.

Now she has completed her MS at Syracuse University (New York, USA). Now she has a job at Cleveland, Ohio, USA with an intention to settle down in America.

If her mother is a great singer, her father Dr Mallikarjun Patil is Professor and Chairman, Dept of English, Karnatak University, Dharwad, and he is a bilingual writer. Ashwini’s brother Shivakumar Patil (b 1995), now a BE student at B.V.B. Engineering College, Hubli, is an established vocalist in Hindustani music. Dr Nanda Patil herself has been Ashwini’s guru.

Ashwini Patil has been giving performances at radio, television and public places in different towns in South India. Her concerts at K.V.V. Sangha and the district utsava, Dharwad are popular. She gave a brilliant performance at Vijayanagar, Bangalore in 2015 the concert being arranged by the Dept of Kannada and Culture, Govt of Karnataka.
