Academy’s Infrastructure
Dr Nanda Patil, the artist’s house is in sprawling five guntas plot in Saptapur, along Haliyal road, Dharwad-580001 – the area once being the edge of old Dharwad. The artist’s house is in Pragati Colony, an enclave with a cut-off layout and with a wide road, providing space and peace for any kind of sadhana. The house stands in a teak garden. The building itself is majestic and spacious. It has a working library for Dr Mallikarjun Patil, the bilingual writer, with enough books for his artiste-wife and children. The house has a cellar with two rooms. One is for instruction in literature and performing arts. All the facilities including digital facilities are available. The place affords space for mancha pradarshan. All the basic amentias are available. The academy can conduct programs in the premises. There is an eco-friendly atmosphere altogether.
The noble founders hope to get five acres of government land in future and develop the academy modeled upon an institute like Dr Gangubai Hanagal Gurukul of Hubli or Dhwanyalok, Mysore.
